American Friends of ALYN Hospital (AFAH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel's premier pediatric rehabilitation center. We're seeking a highly motivated, proactive professional to join our close-knit team.
The Senior Development Associate will be a key player in executing AFAH’s fundraising strategy helping us increase the number of donors and funds raised each year. More specifically this person will assist with individual donor relations, foundation relations (including grant writing), and event coordination. Reporting to the Executive Director you will help to ensure AFAH’s development operations are aligned with its mission, goals, and overall plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fundraising & Donor Relations: Assist the Executive Director in leading fundraising efforts, including cultivating existing philanthropic relationships and securing new donors.
• Event Management: Help organize and manage major fundraising events, ensuring successful execution and engagement.
• Foundation Relations: Lead the effort to identify, contact and develop relationships with key foundations. Support the writing and submission of grant proposals and progress reports, maintaining accurate and timely communication with all stakeholders.
• Administrative Support: Contribute to the creation of systems, processes, and tools to streamline fundraising efforts and enhance overall organizational efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or professional certifications in non-profit management, fundraising, or a related field preferred.
• 5 or more years of experience in fundraising, or a similar field.
• Proven experience in building relationships with individual donors and foundations.
• Experience managing events, including logistics, fundraising, and donor engagement.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage a variety of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using CRM software.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000 annually commensurate with experience.
